1.  What is your total work experience, including your time at CMIE?

I bring over four years of professional experience across research, analytics, and financial advisory roles. This includes a substantial tenure at CMIE, a year at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) as an Analyst supporting the Bloomberg project, and close to five months at Finrex, a forex consultancy firm, where I developed practical expertise in international trade, FX risk management, and personalized client advisory.
 

2. How do you approach researching a new sector or market?

I believe in deep work—a concept introduced by Cal Newport—which focuses on working with complete concentration, free from distractions, to push cognitive limits and produce high-quality, meaningful, and hard-to-replicate work. Using deep work technique, I learn about the particular sector’s Indian market – its key consumers, competitors, returns in last 5 years, future prospects – to prepare my first draft with parameters that impact that industry. Later, I dive deep into each aspect and write about it with proof, which I incorporate from credible sources. Lastly, I combine all the work and arrange them to make a thought-provoking story that will be easy to understand for even a layman.
 

3. What skills have you developed beyond writing and presentation?

My experience has helped me build skills beyond communication, including analytical reasoning, market and sector analysis, client-facing advisory, prioritization, and deadline-driven execution. I have also developed the ability to quickly adapt to new domains and business contexts.
